Black Bird Bookstore, a gem of a shop/café in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood, asked me to help craft copy for a website refresh. Their site, like their physical space, is simple and welcoming, focused on fostering community through books. Black Bird’s owner, Kathryn, is the true voice of the brand—my task was to ensure the website’s copy consistently sounded like her and communicated her store's ethos.
